About Us
Helping to secure Ireland's energy future
About us
Perigus Energy is a renewable energy company, headquartered in Cork, operating across Ireland, Germany, Spain and the UK. We develop, construct and operate onshore renewable energy solutions in each of our markets – working across wind and solar energy, and battery storage.
Across the island of Ireland, we currently operate 20 onshore wind farms which produce 373 MW of clean electricity, powering an equivalent of 250,000 Irish homes. We have also entered the solar sector, with two solar farms in construction. You can find out more about our projects here.
who we are
A new chapter with Perigus Energy
Our team has proudly powered Irish homes for decades. From humble beginnings as a newly established farmers’ co-operative in Cork in 1957, our history began under the name of SWS. Fast-forward to today, almost 70 years later, and we are a prominent and trusted provider of renewable energy, powering a quarter of a million homes across the island of Ireland, and growing.
In 2026, we embarked on a new chapter in our history when we became a standalone company, Perigus Energy, headquartered in Cork City.
Our Vision
Advancing renewables together to power a secure energy future.
Our teams work in tandem with local people and communities across Ireland, to help create a sustainable energy system to power future generations. We are committed to be long-term partners in the communities in which we work.

Our mission
Securing Ireland's energy future
We envision a future where Ireland relies less on imported power and more on our own indigenous electricity output, using nature’s resources to bring clean energy into homes across the country.
Opportunity
Our work and the impact we can make across Ireland is made possible thanks the partnerships we enter with landowners and community groups. We aim to open up new opportunities in every area in which we work.
